EqualityCheck.it is developed by the founders of the Norwegian #Hunspanderer campaign, one of the leading organizations on Gender Equality in Norway. Equality Check is a platform for anonymous crowdsourced reviews about Equality and Diversity in the workplace. You are an experienced designer, preferably with front-end development proficiency, passionate about diversity and solutions-oriented with a laser focus on excellent user experiences and beautiful UI.
Hopefully, you are just as driven to create beautiful UX and UI as well as contributing to making the world a more just and equal place. You are eager to understand our users needs, and push to create the best possible design to help build our user base exponentially.

Build on existing and develop continuous design for an interactive and scalable web app
Report to Tech Lead and PM on development and user behavior
Design mobile-first, user-centric, beautiful and delightful UI and UX
Apply modern design practices and continuously stay ahead of the trends
Proficient in Adobe Suite, Sketch, prototype/wireframe/project management and other relevant design tools
Support the product manager and tech lead in the product vision and roadmap

As our lead designer, you will be a crucial part of our team, collaborating particularly closely with the founders in the early startup phase. We firmly believe in autonomy, and your work schedule will be flexible to accommodate your life.
3+ years of experience and confidence in designing mobile apps and/or web sites
3+ Experience with UX concepts, design thinking and user testing
Fluent in English (written and verbal)
LEVEL OF EDUCATION
Bachelors degree or equivalent in work experience
Preferably Front-end development
We are two founders who have been working passionately to solve gender equality in Norway for the past three years. In August 2019 we hired our first employee and Tech Lead, Iver Skjervum Karlsen. Published a book on unconscious bias and gender stereotypes with Norway’s most accredited publisher Gyldendal
Raised funds from corporations and the government (Innovation Norway) to find solutions on how to improve gender equality in the workplace
Been part of the Antler Global accelerator program in Stockholm
Been featured in 50+ media articles speaking on the subject of diversity (Including Forbes, CEO Executive and HR Zone)
Held several international and national events on unconscious bias and gender stereotypes for thousands of people
Spoken at the UN and been invited to the White House
Partnered with Norway’s leading research center on Gender Equality (CORE) to find what could become the world’s first validated solutions on how to improve gender balance in organizations
